In August I went up to Maine with Peggy Anne to take a class with Denyse Schmidt at Alewives Fabrics in Nobleboro. I loved it! So much fun taking a traditional block and turning it into a wonky new modern design. The Shoeman’s Puzzle Quilt is from her new book.

I found this fabric on Spoonflower. So much fun! Buy a yard of fabric in silk crepe de chine, cotton silk or the cotton voile.
If you have a rolled hemming foot for your sewing machine it is quite easy to turn that yard of fabric into a scarf!
The quilt guild that I am a member of had their quilt show yesterday. It is a nice show because it is not judged and you can bring in your favorite quilts to show. Here are the ones that I displayed.
Flower Burst
I love the coral, green and aqua colors in this quilt. It reminds me of the beach. This is the perfect size quilt for a beach blanket …. would you bring this quilt to the beach?
Cocoa Kaleidoscope
I saw quite a few people trying to see if this had curved pieces, but it doesn’t. Just a wonderful optical illusion.
